Our Home Building Process
Hallmark Homes Inc.Hallmark Homes is proud to be a hands on builder with an emphasis on building strong client relationships which allows for open communication between all parties involved. To help you understand the building process better we have provided an overview of the steps involved in building your new home.

The first step is to find the perfect location in which to build your new home on. Choose a home site that fits your lifestyle requirements. Whether you will build on acreage or in town, the site will dictate what type of home you can build. Choose a professional to help you create your dream home on paper. The details in this process are a vital component in making sure you will be happy on move in day. Begin with a written list of your specific wants and needs to determine what is most important to you.

Once the building site has proper permits the excavation will begin. Followed by the concrete foundation, flatwork completion and underground plumbing will take approximately 3-4 weeks.

Make Selections for plumbing fixtures, interior trim, door style, Fireplace and windows.

Framing structure, interior walls, and roofing. At this stage, you will be able to walk through your new home for the first time. We encourage you to visit often and ask any questions during this 2-3 week time period.

Make selections for cabinets, flooring, appliances, and lighting. Finalize interior paint color and wood trim color. This can be a daunting task for some but does not have to be. We are with you every step of the way to give input and suggestions based on your likes and dislikes for interior finishes.

Electrical walk-thru to place light switches and specialty light fixtures.

Plumbing, Heating and Cooling systems get installed for approximately 3 weeks.

Insulation, drywall and wall texture followed by painting interior for 3-4 weeks.

Install hard surface flooring, cabinets, countertops, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures and interior trim finishes. 4-5 weeks.

Install any carpet surfaces and your home will be getting all the final touches ready for move-in day.
